Activated Alumina

Activated alumina desiccant is a spherical activated alumina made by a special process. Its properties are non-toxic, odorless, non-pulverized, insoluble in water, white spherical in appearance and has strong ability to absorb water. Under certain operating conditions and regeneration conditions, its drying degree is as high as the dew point temperature is below -70℃. And it’s a high-efficiency desiccant for deep drying of trace water. Activated alumina desiccants are mainly used to dry liquids and gases. Although it can absorb all molecules to a certain extent, it preferentially absorbs molecules with strong polarity. The pressure, concentration, molecular weight, temperatures and active site of the gas all affect how well it adsorbs. The common sizes of activated alumina desiccant are bead 1/16", 1/8", 3/16" and 1/4", which can be widely used in gas and liquid phase drying of petrochemical industry, textile industry, oxygen production industry, automatic instrument air drying and air swing adsorption in air separation industry, etc. Due to the high net heat of the single-molecule adsorption layer, it is ideal for heatless regeneration devices.

Application

Activated alumina has the characteristics of large adsorption capacity, large specific surface area, high strength and good thermal stability. It can be used as an adsorbent, desiccant, catalyst or catalyst carrier in many reaction processes such as petroleum, fertilizer and chemical industry.
