Platecoil® Heat Exchanger

Platecoil heat exchanger consists of 1 to several Platecoil heat exchange plates. Platecoil heat exchange is a flat plate-type heat exchanger, also known as Pillow Plate, Dimple Plate, Honeycomb Plate or Heat Transfer Plate, which can be made into a variety of shapes and sizes according to requirements.
Platecoil heat exchange consists of two metal sheets that are laser welded together by welding a custom circle weld pattern. The outside perimeter of Platecoil heat exchange is fully laser welded to create a pressure boundary. At the edges of Platecoil heat exchange, a contour is welded to create a pressure-tight part. After welding, it is inflated to make the metal sheets embossed and form a cavity. The heat exchange fluid flows through the cavity internal space in the Platecoil heat exchange, the cooled or heated medium flows through the plate internal channel and the two heat exchange fluids indirectly exchange the heat through the wall of the metal sheet.
Depending on the application, product, pressure and temperature, the material type, thickness, weld seam position, baffle line position, weld joint position and distance are all required for non-standard design.

The fluid in the Platecoil heat exchange has a high turbulence with a high Reynolds coefficient. Even in the case of high turbulence, 

the fluid pressure drops in the Platecoil heat exchange remains very low.
