Solex Heat Exchanger

Solex bulk flow heat exchanger is a special heat exchanger for cooling, heating and drying bulk solids. It is not a simple combination of device, but a technology breakthrough in the traditional bulk solid heat exchange, is an effective combination of mass flow theory, Platecoil heat exchange technology and Solex proprietary thermal modelling software ThermPro.

More than 3000 applications worldwide have shown that Solex heat exchanger is a low-cost, low-energy and polluting-free solution for heating, cooling and drying bulk solids.

FUNCTIONAL ADVANTAGES

Process control

Solex heat exchanger consists of four parts: inlet hopper, Platecoil heat exchange banks, discharge feeder and control system.

Under continuous operation, the control system adjusts the discharging speed to maintain the level of product in the inlet hopper when the product flowrate changes. In cooling system, Solex heat exchangers typically use the chilled water supplied by cooling tower system or a closed-loop chiller system to work as the cooling medium. In the heating system, the heating medium can be hot water, steam or thermal oil, etc.

Solex heat transfer technology

Produces a Superior Final Product

The slow and controlled movement of the product through the cooler prevents product abrasion and degradation so that there is no change in particle characteristics or crystal shape.

Uniform Final Product Temperatures

The mass flow design means the product moves slowly and with uniform velocity through the cooler. This enables even temperature distribution producing stable and uniform final product temperatures.

Mass Flow Technology

The mass flow discharge feeder creates uniform product velocity through the cooler and regulates the product flow rate.

Compact and Modular Design

The compact installation footprint makes this design easy to integrate into existing plants, and is ideal for debottlenecking or revamps.

The modular design means additional Platecoil heat exchange banks can be stacked if increased cooling capacity is required in the future.
